With six purple pears

Five pink teddy bears

With five pink pears

Instead of colors, use descriptive words - e.g. stripey, sparkly, spotted etc.

All the verses could be on a story character or fantasy tea party theme - e.g.

With ten princess pears

Nonsense verses and letting children’s imaginations go wild makes for great tea party fun. Try feeling words, action words and tea party food words - e.g. silly, skipping, rolling, laughing, birthday, jumping, cuddly, hopping, chocolate, cupcake, sandwich, apple etc.

Two icecream teddy bears
Coming down my stairs

With two icecream pears

Make up your own variations depending on your tea party or classroom theme.
