Teddy Can We Come to Your Tea Party? is a great non competitive game for a teddy bear themed tea party or a teddy bears picnic. Teddies bring their children to the tea party too.

Preparation
Ask children when you invite them to bring their teddy bear along to the tea party. If Have a few extra teddies or soft toys on hand, in case some children forget.

The Game
You or a child stands at the front with his or her teddy bear. The other children stand opposite holding their teddy bears in front and facing you. They call out “Teddy, can we come to your tea party (or picnic)?”

You reply e.g. “You can come to my tea party if you are wearing a red ribbon.” Any child wearing a red ribbon cross over with their teddy bear. They sit ready for the tea party or teddy bears picnic.

Continue with other invitatations e.g. “You can come to my tea party if you are wearing sandals.”

Variations
Invitations do not need to relate to colours or clothes e.g.
You can come to my tea party if you have a “h” in your name.
You can come to my tea party if the person next to you has a brown teddy etc.
