Tea Tips For Eye Care
For a soothing eye compress, wet two cotton wool balls right through with strained cold tea. Squeeze out most of the excess moisture. Lie down and place these over your closed eyes for about 10 minutes for a soothing effect. If nothing else, you’ll get 10 minutes rest.
To reduce puffiness of the eyes, use the same technique as above or try used teabags. Used teabags can be kept in the fridge for a day or two in an airtight container.
To ease a sty on the eye, some people recommend soaking cotton wool in cold or warm tea and placing it over the eye, without rubbing, and repeating every few hours, using a clean cotton wool ball each time. Seek advice from your doctor, pharmacist or health practitioner before doing this.
