This afternoon at three
Twas very small

And passed the cake to me

Simple Tea Party Memory Game
After the poem spin this off into a memory game

I went to a tea party and I ate ________ (e.g. an apple). The second child says “I went to a tea party and I ate an apple and (adds a tea party food or drink) e.g. a pear. Each child adds a new tea party food or drink.

More Challenging Tea Party Memory Game

  • Children add numbers, colors or descriptive words including nonsense depending on the theme you choose.
  • Colors only - e.g. a red apple, a blue pear etc.
  • Numbers only - eg. one cupcake, two oranges etc. (or counting backwards)
  • Combinations - e.g. one juicy grape, two shiny apples etc.
  • Longer descriptions - e.g. a cupcake with yellow sprinkles and chocolate icing etc.
