The Fairy Wedding

A fairy went a shopping

She bought a little bird
To deliver all her messages
And bring back any word

She wrote to all her friends
And friends wrote back as well
That bird was busy as can be
With lots of stories to tell

A fairy went a shopping
She bought a golden crown
And a dress made of silk
A beautiful wedding gown

Invitations flew east and west
To goblins, elves and kings

Fairies from across the land
Gathered all their fairy things

A fairy went a shopping
She bought a wedding cake
White and gold and very grand
The best a baker could make

A fairy and her elf were wed
Butterflies flew overhead
Cobwebs glistening
Everyone listening

Friends came from far and near
Forest creatures let out a cheer
Time to dance and time to eat
A fairy wedding is a treat
