How To Make Traditional Cucumber Sandwiches
- Slice bread thinly
- Cut bread into small rectangles or triangles
- Remove crusts
- Butter lightly
You can remove the skin or score the skin with a fork down the length of the cucumber to give a serrated edge.
Put paper thin cucumber slices between the two slices of bread, immediately before serving.
If you put the cucumber in too soon before serving, the sanwiches become damp, or at worst, soggy.
